Take a stroll through the ‘Amir Timur’ square, which is one of the main places to visit in Tashkent. Founded in 1870, it is full of green lawns and fountains with an impressive statue of Amir Timur in the centre. A little further, towers the State History Museum, which guides you through Uzbekistan’s history from the Stone Age to its modern state.
